Life has never been easy for twenty-year-old Levi Carillo. The youngest of the Carillo boys, Levi is nothing like his older brothers. He isn’t dark in looks or intimidating to everyone he meets. In fact, he’s quite the opposite. Haunted by a crippling shyness and the tragic events of his past, Levi spends his days with his head buried in his books, or training hard for his college football team. Too timid to talk to girls, Levi stays as far away as possible and completely on his own… until he saves the life of a troubled pretty blonde, a troubled pretty blonde that might just be the exception to his rule.
Elsie Hall is homeless. Or at least that’s all anyone ever sees. Everyday is a fight for survival on the cold streets of Seattle, everyday a struggle to find food and keep warm. Alone in life—a life that’s dangerous and cruel—her will to keep going is an ever-losing battle. In her world of silence, Elsie has given up hope that her life will contain anything but constant struggle and pain… until the beautiful boy she has severely wronged comes to her rescue at precisely the right time.
New Adult novel—contains sexual situations and mature topics. Suited for ages 18 and up.
I could not wait to get my hands on this story! When I started reading this, I made sure the kids were fed, bathed, and in bed before I dove in – I didn’t want any interruptions! I wanted to crawl into the pages of this story and live there. Levi Carillo…is the sweet, quiet, shy one of the three brothers. I was eager to see who would claim this boy’s heart. Who could Ms. Cole possibly pair up with him that would be suitable for our kind, beautiful boy? Who would be perfect? Who would be worthy? Once you meet Elsie, you will see that the author created just that – the perfect match for Levi - a lost, lonely soul who was barely surviving, both physically & emotionally. When Levi and Elsie meet, you just know…these two people need each other to have hope again, to trust again, to live again…and have their happily ever after. Tillie Cole certainly knows how to write emotions – words so powerful, you feel them. So beautifully written, this book grabbed me by the heart, and didn’t let go until the last page. I absolutely loved it and I can’t recommend it enough! Another brilliant read in the Sweet Home series by Tillie Cole!
Amazon & USA Today Best Selling Author, Tillie Cole, is a Northern girl through and through. She originates from a place called Teesside on that little but awesomely sunny (okay I exaggerate) Isle called Great Britain. She was brought up surrounded by her English rose mother -- a farmer's daughter, her crazy Scottish father, a savagely sarcastic sister and a multitude of rescue animals and horses.
Being a scary blend of Scottish and English, Tillie embraces both cultures; her English heritage through her love of HP sauce and freshly made Yorkshire Puddings, and her Scottish which is mostly demonstrated by her frighteningly foul-mouthed episodes of pure rage and her much loved dirty jokes.
Having been born and raised as a Teesside Smoggie, Tillie, at age nineteen, moved forty miles north to the 'Toon', Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, where she attended Newcastle University and graduat-ed with a Bachelor of Arts honours degree in Religious Studies. She returned two years later to complete a Post-Graduate Certificate in Teaching High School Social Studies. Tillie, regards New-castle to be a home from home and enjoyed the Newcastle Geordie way of life for seven 'proper mint' and 'lush' years.
One summers day, after finishing reading her thousandth book on her much loved and treasured Kindle, Tillie turned to her husband and declared, "D'you know, I have a great idea for a story. I could write a book." Several months later, after repeating the same tired line at the close of another completed story, she was scolded by her husband to shut up talking about writing a novel and "just bloody do it!" For the first time in eleven years, Tillie actually took his advice (he is still trying to get over the shock) and immediately set off on a crazy journey, delving deep into her fertile imagina-tion.
Tillie, ever since, has written from the heart. She combines her passion for anything camp and glit-tery with her love of humour and dark brooding men (most often muscled and tattooed – they’re her weakness!). She also has a serious side (believe it or not!) and loves to immerse herself in the complex study of World Religions, History and Cultural Studies and creates fantasy stories that enable her to thread serious issues and topics into her writing -- yep, there's more to this girl than profanity and sparkles!
After six years of teaching high school Social Studies and following her Professional Rugby Player husband around Europe, they have finally given up their nomadic way of life and settled in Calgary, Alberta where Tillie spends most of her days (and many a late night) lost in a writing euphoria or pursuing a dazzling career as a barrel-racing, tasselled-chap wearing, Stetson-sporting cowgirl... Ye-haw!
Junior year is halfway over and Melissa is thrilled to be going with Jess, Jimmy, and Brian to Cabo San Lucas for Spring Break. Things at home haven't been great, and she could use the break that the sun and sand of Mexico is sure to bring. But things don't go as planned and the perfect vacation changes things for Melissa and her friends. Will the damage done be permanent and will life at home ever get back to the way it used to be?
Unable to keep it to myself any longer, I’d told Megan, hoping she’d talk it out with me and maybe keep an eye on things with them while I was gone.
Boy, was I wrong.
“That’s nice,” she’d replied when I told her. She didn’t even look away from her Kindle to acknowledge that I’d spoken.
“Yeah, Megan, I hope so. This is our parents I’m talking about. Can you at least look at me?”
I stood over her bed, looking down as I waited for her response, and … nothing.
She just kept on reading.
“You’re turning into a real jerk, you know that?”
“Takes one to know one,” was her witty response.
“You know what, I’m not going to let you do it. You aren’t making me mad so that I jump on top of you and start a fight … Nuh uh, I’m not messing up this trip for anything. So you can go ahead and sit there, with your greasy head, stuck in your stupid book, and forget I said anything. And make sure you don’t touch any of my stuff while I’m gone.”
With all of that said, I’d whirled around and stomped down the stairs.
When I heard her yell out, “Whatever,” I bit back the scream of frustration in my throat.

I’m Kat Willis - the ultimate party girl.
My goal in life? To have a good time, a feat I seem to accomplish with ease.
I’ve lived a privileged life in picturesque Crystal Lake. On the outside, I have it all. Money, good looks, and any guy I want.
Until he came along….Jaxson McAllister. Insanely sexy with a killer smile, I never stood a chance. He saw a part of me I’d kept hidden behind the façade of a good time.
I wasn’t prepared for him to turn my world upside down, but when he did, all the broken pieces of my life fell into place. Everything I’d told myself I never wanted, suddenly became exactly what I needed.
Do you like books that grab you from the first few pages? Do you want your stories to make you feel all those FEELS you love when reading a super fabulous story? Well, Unwanted Love is one of those books! Not lying. I can’t say enough positive things about this book. Everything… I loved everything thing about it; the characters, the storyline, the writing, the humor, the sass, the romance…every, single thing.
This story and its characters will stay with you long after you finish. They are loveable. They are unforgettable. They are absolutely perfect.
*Kat Willis – beautiful, rich, parties all the time, able to get any guy she wants…the perfect life, right?
*Trevor McAllister – I dare you not to fall in love with him. He’s smart, he’s cute, he knows just what to say to charm the ladies…and he’s only 6-years old. He will own your heart.
I think what I loved most about this book, was that I never knew what was going to come out of Kat’s mouth next. It could either shock you, make you laugh until your stomach hurts, or squeeze your heart until it breaks. And on top of the smiles, giggles, & gasps…you will probably shake your head, cuss a few times, and force yourself not to throw your kindle.
Do I recommend this book? The answer to that is a big, FAT YES! And FYI: this has a fantastic epilogue!
FIVE TOTALLY WANTED HEARTS!!
